Breaking Ground: Our First 100 Microloans Distributed

In our pilot rollout, the Professor Olusegun & Taiwo Famoriyo Endowment Foundation disbursed its first 100 microloans to farmers in Osun State. This marked a historic moment in our mission to support Nigeria’s underserved agricultural backbone.

These loans—backed by our partners in local government and cooperatives—provide farmers with critical inputs for planting season. From cassava to maize, recipients reported an average 30% increase in yield within three months of receiving the loans.

Beyond funding, farmers also received mentorship and were enrolled in our extension training modules. The program is now expanding to other LGAs with a goal to support 1,000 farmers by year’s end.
